After transforming the pathways of Lacul Morii in Bucharest with elegant concrete benches, Encho Enchev - ETE has now brought its magic to the heart of Sofia. Our company undertook the project of restoring the historic bear and penguin fountain in Borisova Gradina (near the lily pond) - one of Sofia's most beloved relaxation spots, where past and present intertwine.
Precious History and Modern Techniques
Built in the 1930s by the talented sculptor Vasil Zidarov, the fountain is not just an art piece but a part of the soul of the park. In this project, we at Encho Enchev - ETE, in collaboration with landscape architect Milena Vaseva - director of the municipal enterprise "Parks and Urban Gardens" of the Sofia Municipality, restored the fountain using the highest quality materials to preserve its historical value and aesthetics. Our company executed the concrete structure, crafting the fountain from high-strength concrete with a homogeneous aggregate structure. All surfaces are finely polished, utilizing the most modern and innovative processing techniques. Special protective coatings ensure high durability, making the product timeless.
Collaboration and Innovation
The project also involved the renowned sculptor Alexander Haitov - son of writer Nikolai Haitov, who brought new life to the figures of the bear and penguins. In our work, we combine respect for history with innovation, contributing to the enrichment of public spaces.
Redefining Public Spaces
Just as in Bucharest, our goal in Sofia is to create spaces that not only serve the community but also inspire. We believe that beautiful and functional design can transform people's experiences and leave a lasting imprint.
You are invited to visit and appreciate the restored fountain in Borisova Gradina on your next visit to Sofia. Also, do not miss enjoying the comfort of our benches around Lacul Morii in Bucharest. Let's together appreciate the beauty we create in our cities.
We sincerely thank our partners and the residents of Sofia and Bucharest for their trust and the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of their favorite places.
